My son speaks Binary?

I don't know where he got this, but Connor has started speaking in Binary Code (kind of). Instead of responding to a question with yes, he says 1 (or holds up 1 finger), and instead of no, he says 0 (or makes his hand into a zero). We were acting a little confused as to why he was answering with either a 1 or a 0, and Connor explained to us (in the tone of voice a teacher would explain something), that 1 means yes and 0 means no. We asked him how he learned that, and he said he just thought of it.

That is funny, Laura! Cooper and Shelby like to talk in silly, made up languages to each other, but never binary!

I love your picture of hot air balloons you have added to your blog. Is that a picture from New Mexico?

Yes, that is a picture from the Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque I added to my blog header. Thank you for noticing! I think it brightens up my blog, and every time I see it I am reminded how beautiful it was there.

Today, Connor added a new dimension to his numerical code, which is no longer binary. If a friend was absent from school, the answer is zero; if the friend was at school but was not nice to him, the answer is one; and if the friend was at school and nice then the answer is two. It took me a while to catch on. I hope he doesn't get more complicated each day!
